Description
A made-to-order bag in the Malchut construction, built after the order rather than taken from an existing run. Design #4009-50 sits alongside the #4009 numbering and is specified the same way: choose the size, and the bag is made up to it.
The three cuts are 10.5 by 10 inches for a bar mitzvah bochur, 14 by 14 for a large talis bag, and 16 by 16 for the extra large. The bar mitzvah size is proportioned to a boy and a smaller tallis rather than being simply a scaled-down adult bag. The 14 by 14 is the standard for a man carrying a tallis and tefillin together. The 16 by 16 exists for a tallis gadol and for men who fold loosely.
Since nothing here can be resized after the fact, take the measurement from the folded tallis before you order, and give the order enough lead time if it is meant for a bar mitzvah or a chasunah.
