Grape Design Brocade Challah Cover with Sterling Crystals #290

Grapevines wrap the whole arrangement on design 290 — a wine bottle, a becher and candlesticks embroidered at the center with the vines curling out around them, all worked onto brocade and set with sterling crystals. The grapes are what give the design its movement; they run past the objects at the center rather than staying inside a border, so the eye follows them out toward the corners.

Three sizes are cut: small at 14.5 by 17.5, medium at 15.5 by 19.5 and large at 19.5 by 23.5. This is a design with a lot going on, and it holds together better with room around it, so the medium and large are the stronger choices. On the small the vines crowd the becher and the candlesticks.
