Brocade and Crushed Velvet Challah Cover, No Trimming #710

This is 710 without its border trim, which leaves the brocade and the crushed velvet inset to do all the work. Removing the woven edge makes the cover read cleaner and lets the crushed pile spread wider across the face; the embroidery sits directly on the two grounds with nothing framing it in. Sterling crystals are set into the design, catching light off the broken velvet nap from whichever side the candles happen to be.

Unlike the trimmed version, this one is offered across the full challah cover range. Small is 14.5 by 17.5, medium is 15.5 by 19.5 and large is 19.5 by 23.5. The medium is the safe household choice for a standard pair of challos. Take the large if your table runs long, if you cover a challah board rather than the challos themselves, or if Shabbos in your house usually means an extra family at the table.
