Description
Brocade and crushed velvet together, worked with a set of images that run clockwise around the design: a scale, a shofar, a lulav and esrog, and a Sefer Torah. Genuine Swarovski crystals are set into the detail. It is a Yom Tov cover in the truest sense — the imagery follows the Yomim Noraim and Sukkos rather than a general Shabbos motif, and it looks like what it was made for.
Made in the large size, 19.5 by 23.5, which suits a Yom Tov table set for company. Over a long board it drapes on all sides and keeps the four images visible rather than folded over the edges — worth thinking about, because the design only works when the full circuit can be seen at once.
The 995 pattern also runs as a matzah cover and as a tallis and tefillin bag. A family that brings this cover out for the Yomim Noraim and again at the Seder with the matching matzah cover gets one design carrying through the entire Yom Tov cycle.
