Description
Satin across the face, crushed velvet framing it, and quilting worked through the center — #575 is the quieter of the two Lavish Style covers. It carries the same fabric combination and the same detailing as the Swarovski version, with fewer stones set along the quilting. The contrast between the flat sheen of the satin and the broken texture of the crushed velvet does most of the work, and it does it well.
Two sizes: small at 15x17.5 and large at 19.5x23.5. The small is a Friday-night cover for two challos on a modest board. The large is what to take for a full table, a Yom Tov meal, or a board that already runs long — it drapes rather than sits, which is how this fabric looks best.
This is a sensible cover to buy as a first serious one, or as a chosson and kallah gift where you want the fabrics to feel substantial without the full stonework. It stays presentable week after week, which is more than can be said for a cover that is all sparkle and nothing underneath it.
