Description
Clear lucite with gold trim, holding ten zemiros Shabbos booklets upright and facing outward. The point of a holder like this is that the booklets stop being a pile: they stand where everyone can see them and reach one without disturbing the table, and the lucite body itself all but disappears against a white cloth, so the gold edge is what registers.
The ten booklets come with it, printed double-sided, and the set is nusach Ashkenaz, which is the only version offered for design #255. Ten is a table's worth, a family plus guests, each holding a booklet at kiddush rather than two people leaning over one. When the seudah ends they go back into the holder in one motion, which is the practical reason these are sold as a unit rather than loose.
The gold trim is the warmer of the two finishes; the same holder is produced with silver trim for a table already set in silver. Because it arrives complete and needs nothing added to it, this is a piece that gets bought as a chasunah or new-home gift more often than for the buyer's own table.
