Description
Brown leather hardcover with an embossed design worked into the face, a silver border and speckled page edges, running 176 pages at 5.5 by 7 inches. This is a bound sefer rather than a booklet. It stands up on its own, it opens flat, and the speckled edge is visible along the block whenever it is sitting closed on the table.
Nusach Ashkenaz is the only version. The contents take the table from Friday night kiddush all the way through to the motzei Shabbos zemiros with everything in between, so it functions as the zemiros and the bencher in one volume instead of requiring a second sefer to be found at bentching.
At 176 pages and bound in leather, this is the copy a man keeps at his own place, the one that does not get handed across to a guest and does not need replacing every couple of years. It also seats in a zemiros holder if you keep a set at the head of the table, and the brown and silver combination is quieter than the gold #283 and wears better with handling.
