Description
A PU faux-leather zemiros Shabbos measuring 4.75 by 6.5 inches, built with a soft covered board instead of a paper wrap. The difference shows after a few months of use: a paper booklet curls at the corners and softens at the spine, and this one does not. The finish comes in brown, silver or white.
Two selections to make, colour first and then nusach, Ashkenaz or Eduth Mizrach. Brown is the traditional choice and the one most men take for their own place at the table. Silver and white are the ones ordered in quantity for a simcha, where booklets are laid at each setting and need to answer to the linen rather than to the man holding them.
This sits squarely between the paperback booklets that get handed out and replaced every year or two and the leather-bound zemiros that stays with a man for decades.
