Description
The oval quilted design on velvet, embedded with genuine Swarovski crystals and pearls. Velvet changes what the quilting does — the raised oval reads by shadow rather than by sheen, and the pearls in particular stand further off the surface because the pile behind them absorbs light instead of bouncing it back. It is the more subdued and the more tactile of the two versions of #182.
Offered medium at 15.5x19.5 and large at 19.5x23.5. Velvet has body, so both sizes hold their shape over the challos, and the large falls with real weight over the ends of a long board. If you are choosing between them, think about the board rather than the table — the cover should reach past the board on all sides.
A megillah case and a tallis and tefillin bag are made in the same 182 design. The pattern also exists on white satin, which is the crisper and brighter version; velvet is what to take if the rest of your table already leans dark and warm.
