Description
The swirl embroidery on velvet with genuine Swarovski crystals set into it, Shabbos at the center and a rope trim around the edge. Crystals on velvet make a stronger contrast than crystals on brocade — the pile stays dark and the stones sit on top of it as distinct points of light instead of blending into a patterned ground. The design reads sharper for it.
Sizes are large at 19.5x23.5, small at 14.5x17.5 and medium at 15.5x19.5. Velvet gives the cover enough weight to fall over the sides of a board rather than sitting flat on the challos, which is worth having on the larger sizes especially. The medium covers most family boards comfortably.
The 230 number also runs as a bencher cover, a challah board and a tallis and tefillin bag, so the swirl can carry from the table to shul. The plain version of this cover, without the crystal work, exists as well if the stones are more than you want week to week.
