Description
The traditional shul pattern on velvet, with Swarovski crystal elements set through it. Velvet is the older ground for this design and it shows — the embroidery sits proud against the pile, the crystals mark the turns of the pattern, and the whole thing reads as something that belongs on a table set the same way for years. Nothing about it is trying to be current.
Two sizes: medium at 15.5x19.5 and large at 19.5x23.5. The medium suits an ordinary family board and the large a long table or a set Yom Tov meal. There is no small in this version, which is fair — the design carries enough detail that it wants room to be seen properly.
Design 565 is also made as a tallis and tefillin bag. The brocade version of this cover exists as well and is the lighter, crisper of the two; velvet is what most people picture when they think of the traditional design, and it is the one that suits a table set in silver.
