What should we buy for the new home?
The items used every single week: candlesticks, a Kiddush cup, a challah board and knife, a bencher set, and a mezuzah case for each doorway. These outlast anything decorative, and a couple setting up will not have duplicates of them yet.

What do we give if we are wedding guests rather than family?
Bencher sets, a challah board, tabletop Judaica or a serving piece. Gift-appropriate, useful, and no risk of clashing with what family is giving. Ask the family if a registry or a list exists — many now have one.

Should we personalise it?
Names and the wedding date on a bencher set, a challah board or a bag set are common and welcome. Allow 10 to 14 days for embroidery or engraving plus shipping, so order three weeks out. Personalised items cannot be returned.

How many benchers do we need for sheva brachos?
Count the seats, then add a margin — benchers walk off. Most people order in a round number well above the guest count, since a short table is more awkward than a few spare.

When should we order?
Three weeks before the wedding if anything is being personalised, two weeks otherwise. Wedding season is concentrated and the popular candlestick and bencher lines move fast.

Can we come in and choose together?
