A good davening setup starts with the siddur. Nusach Ashkenaz (ArtScroll's Koren or Siach Yisrael are standard), Sephardic/Edot HaMizrach, Nusach Ari/Chabad, or Sephardic Kol Yaakov. Pick the one for your minhag. Most homes have multiple nuschaos — one for each adult, with extras for guests.

Tehillim. Every Jew should own a Tehillim. We stock tehillim in every size (pocket, standard, large-print), binding (paperback, hardcover, leather), and format (Hebrew only, Hebrew + English, Hebrew + Hebrew translation). Popular: the ArtScroll Interlinear Tehillim, the Koren Pocket Tehillim, and the beautiful Linder Tehillim for women.

Machzorim — the holiday prayer books. Every family needs Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and a full three-yom-tov set (Sukkos, Pesach, Shavuos). We stock full sets and individual volumes.

Tallitot — for at-home use, travel, or as a backup. Our full tallis collection has tallitot for every minhag. A good travel tallis is a favorite for shuls with simple davening chairs.

Tefillin and tefillin bags — see our Tefillin collection for kashrus-certified pairs. Tefillin bags from simple cotton to embroidered silk.

The small pieces: kippah, kippah clips (because yarmulkes blow off during havdala), mezuzah covers for room entries, and zippered travel pouches. All curated to last.

Which siddur do I need?

Pick the one that matches your minhag: Ashkenaz (ArtScroll, Koren), Sephardic/Edot HaMizrach (Kol Yaakov), Nusach Ari/Chabad (Tehillas Hashem), or Sephardic Beis Yosef. Every family typically has a small stack of siddurim.

How do I pick a tehillim size?

Pocket tehillim (3x4 inches) for travel and convenience. Standard (5x7) for home. Large-print for older readers or bedside use. Many families have all three.

Can I use a Nusach Ashkenaz siddur for Sephardic davening?

Technically yes — the words of davening overlap 90%+ — but the sequence and a few insertions differ. If you daven Sephardic, get a Sephardic siddur. It's a small investment for a better davening experience.

Do you carry machzorim with transliteration?

Yes — the ArtScroll Interlinear Machzor has both Hebrew and transliteration on every line. Great for learners or those whose reading is improving.

What's the difference between a daily tallis and a travel tallis?

A travel tallis is typically smaller (size 40-50), made of lighter material, and designed to fold small. Daily tallitot are full-size (60-70) and heavier. Many men own one of each.

How do I care for a tefillin bag?

Brush dust off regularly. Avoid getting it wet. Store tefillin inside the bag with a dry cloth to absorb moisture. If the bag's tzitzis embroidery fades, we can repair.
