Collection details

Tzitzis, also called a tallis katan, are the four-cornered garment with fringes worn every day. This page brings together tzitzis from Malchut Judaica, Mefoar Judaica, Alef To Tav and our own Judaica Square line, in wool, cotton, poly-cotton, breathable mesh and T-shirt styles such as Perf-Tzit, for boys and men.

Choosing comes down to four things. Fabric: wool is the traditional choice, and cotton or mesh is lighter in warm weather. Neck: round or V-neck. Corners: one hole or two, plus the tying custom your family follows, Ashkenaz, Sefardi or Chabad. Strings: machine-spun meyuchad or hand-spun avodas yad, thin or thick, with techeiles on some listings. Sizes run from kids' to adult, and each brand measures differently, so check the size chart on the listing before you order. Replacement strings are on the Tzitzis Strings page.

FAQs

Should I choose one hole or two holes?

Both are common. One hole is widespread among Ashkenazim of Lithuanian custom, and two holes is common among Chassidim. Follow your family's minhag, or ask your rav.

What is the difference between meyuchad and avodas yad strings?

Meyuchad strings are machine-spun and tied for the mitzvah. Avodas yad strings are spun by hand, which many consider a hiddur. The string type is listed on each product.

Wool or cotton?

Both are worn. Wool is the traditional choice, and cotton, poly-cotton and mesh are often chosen for comfort in warm weather. Ask your rav if you have a halachic question.

How do I find the right size?

Sizes differ between brands. Check the measurements or size chart on the listing. Kids' and adult sizes have their own pages.
