Description
Design #1587 is one of the newer frames in the kallah collection, and in antique taupe leather it is about as current as this line gets. Taupe is the neutral that reads modern rather than traditional — a soft grey-brown with the aged finish worked over it, so the surface has depth without any warmth-forward bronze cast to it.
The Kaftor machzorim are a woman's set for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. This is a purchase made once: the leather is chosen so the set survives two long days of handling a year for as long as she uses it, and the frame is chosen because it will not look dated in a decade. Newer designs carry a slight risk on that second point, which is why the neutral color is the smart pairing for a new frame.
For a chosson deciding between this and one of the older frames, the difference is not quality but shape. Ask to see #1587 alongside #1547 before committing — they photograph similarly and look quite different in the hand.
