Description
Camel antique leather on the #1537 frame, made up as a Kaftor kallah machzorim set. Camel is the lightest of the warm neutrals here — noticeably paler than the bronze and the brown, closer to a soft tan, and the antique treatment gives it the tonal variation that keeps a light leather from looking plastic. Against a dark shul bench or a black skirt it stands out cleanly.
The Kaftor set is what a woman uses for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur davening, held for the length of both days. A light leather does show handling more than a dark one; the antique finish is what makes that acceptable, since the darkening reads as part of the intended look rather than as a mark.
The #1537 design also comes as zemiros booklets. A kallah who is given the machzorim before her first Yomim Noraim and the zemiros for the Shabbos table has a matched pair covering the two places she will actually use them.
