Description
Soft camel antique leather on the #1547 design, holding the Kaftor for Kallahs machzorim. Camel is the shade chassanim keep coming back to before Tishrei — it is light enough to be distinctly a gift rather than a plain sefer cover, and neutral enough that it will never look like it belonged to a particular year.
The machzorim are for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, and the set is bought with the understanding that it will be used on those days for the rest of a lifetime. That is a different purchase from a book that gets read once. The leather, the antique finish and the frame are all doing the same job: making sure the set that comes out on the second day of Rosh Hashanah in fifteen years still looks like the one that was given.
Design #1547 is produced across siddur covers, haggadah covers, zemiros booklets and Chanukah pieces, so a couple who like the camel can extend it — the siddur first, usually, and the haggadah before the first Pesach.
