Baron Rothschild Shlomo Spitzer (Paperback)

ROTHSCHILD – the name alone conjures images of colossal wealth and influence. Although many in the family were not observant Jews, Baron Shimon Wolf (Wilhelm), grandson of the founder of the Rothschild dynasty, was an exception. A tzaddik and first-class Torah scholar, he stood behind nearly every Jewish religious undertaking in nineteenth century Europe. Who was this great philanthropist about whom so little is written? Could it be that he came to know authentic Judaism through…an Italian priest?! Here is a fascinating, true story of intrigue and triumph, peril and deliverance, all woven together with the golden thread of Divine providence. History comes alive as you meet the Gedolim of this pivotal era, and travel from Naples to Jerusalem, Istanbul to Frankfurt, in search of a long lost child. Dramatic and inspiring, Baron Rothschild enthralls as it reveals the beauty of Torah combined with riches, permeated with the fear of Heaven.
