Description
Solid exotic hardwood, African mahogany with Brazilian rosewood, etched with the HaMotzi blessing over challah in Hebrew. The lettering is cut into the wood itself and left to show the grain running through it, then the whole board is sealed with food-safe mineral oil.
At seventeen by thirteen inches it takes two full challos with room to slice, which is why it turns up as a wedding or new-home gift more often than anything else here. Wood being wood, the color and figure of each board differ.
