Description
Embroidery and sterling crystals are worked over soft linen-look fabric. Design 826 sits between the plain linen covers and the fully worked ones: enough stitching on the face to give it presence at the table, not so much that the fabric disappears underneath it. The linen-look weave stays matte and neutral, which is what lets the crystals do their job — they are the only reflective thing on the cover.
Sizes run 19.5 by 23.5, 15.5 by 19.5 and 14.5 by 17.5. The medium handles an ordinary pair of challos. Take the large where the table is long, the challos are wide, or you want the cover to fall over the edges of a board rather than stop short of them.
826 is also cut as a challah board, a haggadah cover and a matzah cover. That last one is worth a thought before Pesach, since the same design running from the Shabbos table to the seder table is the kind of thing that gets noticed and does not have to be explained.
