Description
The Modde design carried on a linen-look fabric — the most understated version in the collection. Where the other Modde covers lean on fur and pile, this one is flat, matte and lightly textured, with the embroidery and sterling crystals doing all the work against a plain ground. On a table set with natural wood and simple ceramics it looks considered rather than formal.
Three sizes are made: large at 19.5x23.5, medium at 15.5x19.5 and small at 14.5x17.5. A flat fabric shows its dimensions honestly, so measure the board first. The medium is the safe middle for a family table; the large is what you want if your board runs long and you like the cover to fall over the ends.
A challah board is made to match #655. Linen-look with the board is the pairing that suits a younger table, and it is a good chosson and kallah choice for a couple whose taste runs plainer than velvet and heavy stonework.
