Description
Chaos in the Kitchen is a funny mystery for boys by Sara Sumner, part of The Super Sleuth Trio. Eleven-year-old Yitz Levine is happy to hang posters for his sisters' bake sale, mostly for the free samples. Then the treats start going wrong: brownies sweet enough to make you wince, a chocolate cake as salty as the Dead Sea and frosting that erupts like a volcano.
Worse, the girls are sure Yitz and his friends are to blame. Yitz, Avi and Yaakov set out to follow the clues and find who is really behind the baking disasters, picking up some useful lessons about getting along with others along the way. Every chapter is named for a dessert, from Seven-Layer Cake to Gingerbread Man.
