Description
in a Multi-Cultural Workplace
"Listen, if I would try to tell anyone over there in Israel my opinion,
would it help change the situation? Definitely not, right? So why
don't we just both stay out of it?"
But Fateha wasn't ready to quit. "Israel has everything!" she wailed.
"They have tanks! They have rockets! We have nothing!"
Miriam Schweitzer, diary entry
Miriam Schweitzer is a chassidic woman living in Antwerp,
Belgium. Despite suffering from MS, she lives an active, busy life.
For several years, Miriam worked at "Het Lieve Schatje," a
multicultural day care center in Antwerp. Although it was
challenging at first to work with women of various religious and
ethnic backgrounds very different to her own, Miriam came to love
her job. However, due to circumstances beyond her control, she was
eventually forced to leave.
Miriam's upbeat attitude, and her strong faith in Hashem, has
helped her navigate life's challenges.
This is her story.
