Tie-Dyed Cotton Challah Cover Hand-Dyed Shabbat Shalom

This challah cover is dyed by hand on cotton with professional fiber-reactive Procion dye, the kind that bonds to the fiber rather than sitting on top of it, so the color stays deep. Shabbat Shalom is then lettered across it in Hebrew in flexible fabric paint that moves with the cloth instead of cracking.

The lettering comes two ways, a formal calligraphy hand or a lighter script, and the single-layer square is sized to lay over two challos. It makes a straightforward gift for a wedding, a new home or a housewarming.
