A Novel

How does it feel to be on stage, in the limelight, holding a most prestigious title...when you're really nothing more than a puppet, directed by the real power-that-be figures in your life?

Yaffa Levinsky: Though already a wife and mother, Yaffa still has not found her own voice-until a most absurd turn of events, which lands her with a position that she never, in her wildest dreams, would have thought would be hers.

Elchanan Levinsky: Yaffa's husband, Elchanan finds himself in a muddle of his own when the business he joins begins showing odd signs that, try as he might, he just can't ignore.

Dovi Brim: A foolish mistake is all it takes to land Dovi, a talented American bachur learning in a Bnei Brak yeshivah, in deep trouble-with only the Levinskys holding the key with which to smoothen things out for him.

Malka Mann: Enmeshed in a complicated relationship with her close friend and colleague, Yael Braun, Malka's world comes crashing down around her with the news of her mother's stroke...and the ramifications of this in regard to her mother's school.

Can Yaffa Levinsky's new position bring about change in her and many others' lives?

Can the puppet really do a dance of its own?
