Description
Der Shvartza Mageifa, The Black Plague, is a Yiddish comic book by Gold from Chazak Kinder. The story is set against the fear and upheaval of the historic plague years.
The cover shows a village scene at dusk: a bearded rabbi wrapped in a tallis holds a swaddled infant, a gentleman in a top hat clutches a red cloth, a boy in a red coat leads a cow, and a horse-drawn carriage waits among the trees. An English edition, The Black Plague, uses the same artwork.
