Description
Before Dovid becomes king, he cares for a flock of sheep. When the youngest sheep will not eat the grass, he pays attention to their different needs and looks for a solution. Dina Rosenfeld’s story, based on Midrash, introduces his compassion through this small scene.
Ilene Winn-Lederer illustrates the English hardcover. Hachai lists 32 pages, ages 2–5 and a 7 × 10-inch format. The story focuses on Dovid’s early care for the flock rather than presenting a complete biography or historical reference book.
