Description
Through a twist of fate, the Feinzeigs and thousands of other Polish refugees escaped the Nazis by being exiled to the frozen Soviet Union. Dovid Feinzeig's 432-page hardcover follows them from barracks to collective farms, through hunger and illness, and shows how their faith held under Communist suspicion.
The fateful story of arrest and exile - that became the passport to life for thousands.
Through a Divine twist of fate, the Feinzeigs, along with thousands of Polish refugees, were spared the Nazi boot during the Holocaust, finding haven on frozen Soviet soil.
Under distrustful Communist eyes, they traveled from barracks to collective farms, beset with misery, sickness, and hunger. But nothing, neither pain nor tragedy, could extinguish the flames of their faith.
