From Moav to Mashiach, Rabbi Boruch Twersky (Hardcover)

In every generation, Hashem sends us tzaddikim and scholars who lead the nation and illuminate the world with their Torah. Rav Aryeh Leib Tzinz, known as the Maharal Tzinz, was one such tzaddik. Through his prolific writings, the light of his Torah shines throughout the world to this very day.

In this timely adaptation of the Maharal Tzinz’s commentary on Megillas Rus, Rabbi Boruch Twersky enables us to appreciate the holy words of this great tzaddik. The translation, presented along with the Hebrew text of the Maharal Tzinz’s commentary, clarifies many profound concepts, giving readers a greater understanding of the events leading up to the birth of David HaMelech. Elimelech’s family living in Moav, Rus’s conversion, and Boaz’s efforts to establish the halachah that Rus was permitted for marriage despite her Moabite roots were all important links in the chain that led to the establishment of the Davidic dynasty. This intriguing narrative of Megillas Rus is sure to be a valuable addition to every Jewish family’s bookshelf, as we await the coming of Mashiach, speedily in our days.

“Rabbi Twersky…conveys faithfully the intent of the Maharal Tzinz accurately and in a manner that is easily read and easily understood… I commend Rabbi Twersky for a quality presentation.”
