Black Gartel Bag, 8 x 8, Protects Your Praying Belt for Years

A black pouch, roughly 8 by 8 inches, built for one purpose: to keep a gartel from wearing out. That is not a marketing line — a gartel left loose in a tallis bag frays at the ends, picks up creases and gradually loses the crispness it had when it was new, and a dedicated pouch is the only thing that actually prevents it.

Black is the practical colour and the one most men take. It matches the black leather and dark velvet tallis bags that make up most of what is carried, it does not show marks, and it stays looking correct for years without any attention at all. The 8 inch square takes a standard rolled gartel comfortably.

The same bag is made in white, which is the version people order for a chosson or for the Yomim Noraim when everything else being carried is white. Households often end up with both — the black one living in the everyday tallis bag, the white one put away with the kittel until the days it is needed.
