Before lighting: The supplied listing does not state dimensions, weight, exact metal, finish, accent composition, candle size, or oil-cup compatibility. Verify that all holders are level, secure, evenly aligned, and compatible with your chosen lights. Place the menorah on a stable, heat-resistant, nonflammable surface away from drafts and flammable materials. Keep children and pets away and never leave flames unattended.

Jeweled Calligraphy Menorah

Sweeping calligraphic linework forms the body of this menorah, the metal drawn out into curves and flourishes the way a sofer’s pen moves across parchment. Colored stones are set into the scrollwork at intervals, so the piece picks up light even before the first candle is lit.

It is a display menorah as much as a working one. Standing on a mantel or a front hall table through Chanukah, it holds its own as decor, and once the candles are burning the stones throw small points of color back into the room.

At $70 it sits in the gift range rather than the everyday range — a reasonable choice for a chosson and kallah, a housewarming, or replacing a menorah that has been limping along for years. Available online with free shipping on orders of $75 or more, or at either Judaica Square in Lakewood.
