These three Books bridge the destruction of the First Temple and the building of the Second after the Babylonian Exile. Daniel tells of Chananya, Mishael and Azariah in the furnace, Daniel in the lions' den and the handwriting on the wall. Ezra and Nehemiah relate the return to the Land and the building of the new Temple.
