Lucite Wash Cup with Black Handles, 4 7/8 Inches Tall (Design #7070)

Clear lucite with black handles — design #7070 in its highest-contrast finish. The body of the cup is transparent, so what you see is the water level and whatever surface it is standing on, and the two black handles frame it as a hard graphic outline. It stands 4 7/8 inches tall and measures 5 inches across including the handles.

Those dimensions are the working part of a negel vasser cup. The height gives it the capacity to pour twice over each hand without refilling, and the width across the handles is what lets a hand grip it properly at the side of a bed in the dark. Lucite carries enough weight to stay put on a nightstand and enough clarity to show at a glance whether it was filled before anyone went to sleep.

Black handles are the choice for a room with dark furniture or black fittings, where gold or silver would read as an ornament sitting out on the surface. This is the plainest and most modern of the #7070 finishes.
