Description
A clear lucite honey dish in the #328 shape, plain through, with no metal trim and no colour. The honey is the only thing in it that has a colour, and against clear acrylic it lights up. On a Rosh Hashanah table crowded with simanim, a dish that does not add another pattern or another metal tone is worth something.
It comes out for the apple on the first night and generally stays through the seudos while there is still honey going on the challah. Lucite handles what honey does to things: it wipes off, it does not stain, and warm water is enough. There is no polishing before Yom Tov and no reason to worry about a child carrying it across the room.
At this size it is easy to give — a gift to a host before Rosh Hashanah, or an addition to a shana tova package where a jar of honey on its own would feel thin. It stores flat in a cabinet for the rest of the year and comes out the following Tishrei looking the same.
