Description
Design #214 puts the Tishrei texts onto lucite cards, one occasion at a time: kiddush leShabbos and havdalah, kiddush for Rosh Hashanah with the simanim, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, birchas habanim and havdalah at the close of Yom Kippur, kiddush for Sukkos with the tefillah for entering the sukkah, and seder ushpizin alongside seder netilas lulav. Five bencher cards are included, and the whole pack is nusach Ashkenaz.
Splitting the busiest month of the year across separate cards is what makes this work at a table. Nobody is paging through a machzor looking for the simanim while the fish gets cold, and a child can be handed the ushpizin card and given something real to do with it. The five benchers cover a family without a second set coming out.
Sukkos is where lucite justifies itself. A card that spends a week on a table under s'chach, handled by children and rained on at least once, needs to be something other than paper. These come in from the sukkah, get wiped down, and go back into the pack for the following year.
