Description
The #329 honey dish is the lighter of the clear lucite shapes, light enough to be passed down a full Yom Tov table hand to hand without anyone bracing for it — which is more than can be said for glass or crystal doing the same job. Clear through, so the honey reads as amber sitting on the tablecloth with nothing around it.
Rosh Hashanah is when it works hardest, but it stays useful right through Tishrei, and plenty of families leave it out for the children long after the simanim are finished. Honey is the messiest thing on the table and lucite is the material that minds it least: a rinse and a cloth and it is clear again, with nothing caught in a rim or a cut pattern.
It is a reasonable thing to bring a host before the first night, particularly alongside a jar of honey, and it is small enough to pack if you are eating one night at home and the second somewhere else.
