Malchut Table Shtender, Foldable Stand for Siddurim, Chumashim and Gemaras

A tabletop book stand built to hold a sefer open at a comfortable reading angle, then fold down flat when it is finished with. The construction is sturdy rather than flimsy, which is what separates a shtender from the folding stands that flex under the weight of a real gemara and slowly sag through a seder.

It takes siddurim, chumashim, gemaras and other seforim, which is worth stating because a stand that manages a siddur and then collapses under a Shas volume is no use to anyone. The folding design is what makes it portable: it goes to a shiur, into a yeshiva dormitory, into an office drawer for the few blatt learned before the day starts, and back home again without needing a permanent place on the table.

Anyone who has learned for two hours with a sefer flat on a table knows what the angle is worth. It is also a straightforward gift for a bochur going to yeshiva or a man who has started a regular seder at home, priced far below a standing wooden shtender and considerably more useful in a house that has no room for one.
