Based on the Shiurim of Rabbi Nissan Dovid Kivak

The process of Sefiras Ha’Omer and Shavuos is an incredible opportunity for spiritual growth. The practice of counting each day can awaken within us a yearning to purify and prepare ourselves for a new revelation of Hashem and the Torah on Har Sinai. Similarly, the days of the Three Weeks are a unique opportunity for us to call out to Hashem and express our longing for the rebuilding of the Beis HaMikdash and our own personal redemption.
