Description
Beige and ivory crushed velvet quilted around an elegant square inset, the oval outlined through it, and genuine Swarovski crystal elements set into the pattern. The contrast between the two velvet tones carries the design; the crystals are placed along the quilting so they follow the shape rather than filling the field. Under candles the oval outline is the first thing to light up.
Small runs 15x17.5 and large 19.5x23.5. The large is the more common choice here because the quilting has room to breathe, but the small is a genuinely handsome cover on a shorter board and reads more compact and jewel-like for it.
A challah board is made in the same 578 design. Board and cover together is how this pattern is usually bought, and it is worth doing specifically here: the beige-and-ivory pairing repeats on the board, and a mismatched board under a two-tone cover is the sort of thing that bothers you every week once you have noticed it.
