Parenting by Design Rabbi Yisroel Kleinman LMSW (Paperback, ArtScroll)

Yes, you can be a great parent.

Yes, you can raise healthy, confident, successful children.

And yes, you can get satisfaction - and actually enjoy - bringing up your children!

Welcome to the world of Five-Level Parenting

The key to effectively parenting young children is to know what you want to accomplish. Short-term goal: get the kid out of the house and to school on time (and keep your temper and sanity!). Long-term goal: Help mold the child into a fully-functioning, happy human being who is a source of nachas and joy to you, to Klal Yisrael, and to the Creator.

Between those two goals are the routine daily encounters between parent and child - homework, Shabbos tables, tantrums, bedtime stories, hugs and timeouts and occasional screaming.

In Parenting by Design parenting expert Rabbi Yisroel Kleinman, LMSW shares the incredibly effective technique he has devised to help us succeed as parents -- Five-Level Parenting. It's an easy-to-implement and straightforward technique that gives us the tools to quickly examine and analyze our daily encounters with our young children, pinpoint our goal for specific behaviors, and respond appropriately.

Parenting by Design offers real-life examples of how Five-Level Parenting works, while open-ended questions help us understand the dynamic in our own families.

In these complex times, you'd never believe great parenting could be so simple - but it is.

Five-Level Parenting - just try it and see. And enjoy your kids!
