Description
A hamsa cut from MDF and hand-painted in acrylic with peace-and-love motifs, then studded with small silicone flowers and sealed. The panel is 8 by 5 inches and a quarter inch thick, light enough for a small nail or for leaning on a shelf. The artist painted the series after a family trip to Woodstock, New York, and the loose lettering and warm color come straight out of it.
A hamsa usually goes up near a doorway, over a crib, or in a kitchen where people pass it every day, and at this size it travels well as a wedding or housewarming gift.
