Description
Pirkei Avos (The Ethics of the Fathers) is one of the most widely studied Mishnayos.
This volume presents the Rambam’s commentary translated into English, with clear elucidation and illuminating footnotes. Excerpted from ArtScroll’s highly acclaimed Kisvei HaRambam Vol. 2, it brings the words of הַנֶּשֶׁר הַגָּדוֹל— the Great Eagle — to light with clarity and depth.
The Rambam writes in his Mishnah commentary to Berachos 9:7 that he uses every opportunity to teach the fundamentals of Judaism.
Few texts present greater opportunities than Pirkei Avos., and these are seized throughout this commentary by the Rambam who, in the words of Rashbatz, “has no equal in bringing matters close to intellectual understanding.”
This volume is certain to add to the satisfaction and joy of the weekly study of Pirkei Avos.
