The Story of Hillel Blumenfeld

Ever wondered what it's like for a kid living with cancer?

Meet Hillel Blumenfeld, an ordinary kid just like you, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor when he was six years old and went on to live an extraordinary life.

You will hear how he kicked his principal, endured 33 rounds of radiation, skipped from seventh to ninth grade, patched his eye like a pirate, and secretly stayed up all night learning without his parents knowing a thing about it.

Entertaining and inspiring, Short but Lived gives you an insider's view into the life of a teenage boy with cancer: his challenges, his fears, his friends, and his fun.

Hillel enjoyed his life to the fullest, and his mother, renowned therapist, author and speaker, Mindy Blumenfeld, tells his story. Talking straight to the teens, their teachers and parents, she reveals the ups and downs of living with illness, the grief of uncertainty, the strength and persistence of one young boy... and the triumph of everlasting life.
