Description
During the Crusades, the growing Karaite movement splits neighbors, friends and families, and four young adults face heartbreaking choices. From an estate in Egypt to Grodno's snowdrifts, a French yeshivah and an English manor, Rebbetzin S. Feldbrand's 240-page softcover saga follows escapes, disguises and hard-won faith.
A Novel
Against the backdrop of the Middle Ages and the menacing Crusade boot, an era of darkness unfolds. As the noxious Karaite movement gains momentum, the tectonic plates of history shift, creating irreversible schisms between neighbors, friends, and families. Plunged into the epicenter of conflict and tragedy, four young adults are forced to confront heart-wrenching decisions like never before.
From a luxurious estate in Egypt to the snowdrifts of Grodno, from the study halls of a French yeshivah to a foreboding English manor, this stirring historical saga paints their travels and travails with penetrating insight. Through perilous forest escapes, bold disguises, encounters with monks and knights, and even a meeting with the Rambam, these memorable characters discover the greatest gift of all: faith.
