Megillas Esther Booklet, Square Quilted Design Red #253

Red is the loudest of the four colours in design 253, and on a 5 by 5 square cover with a silver strip across the middle it is unmistakably a Purim booklet. The mini quilting runs along the top and the bottom edges, framing the strip, and the cover is worked rather than printed flat.

Inside are thirty matte pages holding the megillah and its brochos, birchas hamazon in both nuschaos, Ashkenaz and Edut HaMizrach, Al HaMichya and Sheva Brachos. That is enough to get a child through the reading at night, the reading in the morning and the seudah after it, all on one booklet.

For a class set, red tends to be the colour children reach for first and the one worth ordering deepest. It also sits well in a mishloach manos basket, which is a real consideration for anyone assembling forty of them at a kitchen table.
