Student Size Schottenstein Elucidated Rashi on Chumash Complete 10-Volume Set (Hardcover, ArtScroll)

For eight centuries Rashi — Rav Shlomo ben Yitzchak of medieval France, the Father of Commentators — has been the first commentary a Jewish child meets and the last one a talmid chacham puts down. Beneath its deceptively plain surface sits a depth that has held the finest minds in Klal Yisrael for generations.

The Schottenstein Edition Elucidated Rashi does what a translation alone cannot: it opens Rashi’s thought process. The Torah text and Rashi’s commentary appear in the original, with a flowing English elucidation that fills in the words Rashi left unsaid, notes that explain why he asks what he asks, and discussion of the places where other commentators part ways with him.

This is the Student Size printing — the identical text in a 5.5" x 8.5" volume built for a backpack, a dorm desk or a shul shtender. The complete set runs all ten volumes, covering the entire Chumash.

The Elucidated Rashi belongs in every Torah home. Whatever your level of learning, it will change how you read the foundational commentary on the Torah.
