The Halachah Masters: Let's Learn the Halachos of Shabbos: Comics by Mrs. G Vind – Hardcover

Can you pour hot water into cold on Shabbos, spray insecticide, or write with spilled water on the table? This comic, written and illustrated by Mrs. G. Vind and reviewed by Rabbi Moshe Vind, walks young readers through practical hilchos Shabbos questions like these.

Comics

"Is it permissible to pour hot water into a cup of cold water on Shabbos?"

"There are so many bugs out here. Too many, but one application of this spray insecticide will take care of them all. I wonder, is spraying insecticide considered an act of killing?"

"It's fun to spill water on the table and write letters with my finger. Later on, it all disappears and I can start all over again. Is this considered writing?"

"I have a good question. When I mix drink concentrate with water, I add color to the water. Am I allowed to do that on Shabbos?"
"Really, I have lots of questions!"
"That's exactly why I'm here. Look for me on the pages of this book and you will find answers to all your questions and more!"

It is almost impossible to observe Shabbos in every detail. The only practical solution is to study the halachos thoroughly and review them regularly. That way, you will readily know what is permissible and what is not. Without intense and constant study, you might wish with all your heart and soul to observe Shabbos and still not observe it properly. (Mishnah Berurah)
