Description
Overview
A good story can transport a newly independent reader to another time and place. With The Secret Journey, a fully illustrated leveled reader, your child will absorb Torah values, learn about Jewish history, and develop a love of reading at the same time.
When Reb YItzchak Zilber was a young man, he lived in Communist Russia. The government made strict laws against teaching Torah and observing Jewish holidays. They punished people who wouldn’t spy on others and report them for breaking the rules. Because Reb YItzchak would not tell on a fellow Jew, the government sent him to a work camp that was like a jail. In spite of the danger, the Zilber Family was determined to bake matzah for themselves and to send to Reb Yitzchak.
And it all started with a secret journey!
A wonderful addition to an exciting series for beginning readers!
