Description
In the Beis HaMikdash, Rosh Chodesh was a day of communal atonement offerings. Since the 16th century, Jews have observed Yom Kippur Katan, instituted by the kabbalists of Safed, on Erev Rosh Chodesh of most months, and today its observance is increasingly widespread.
Many congregations say the special prayers during Minchah. A companion to the ArtScroll Siddur, this booklet has the full Yom Kippur Katan service for both Ashkenaz and Sefard congregations, with the order of the prayers explained in the commentary.
