Zecher L’Maaseh Bereishis is built on the Chovos HaLevavos’ call to reflect on the works of creation, and Volume 2 continues that journey through the mammal world where Volume 1 leaves off — another 50 to 75 selected aspects of creation, each one turning an ordinary fact about an animal into a reason to recognise the Ribbono Shel Olam.

The approach does not change between volumes, and that is the point: the same discipline of looking closely, applied to more of the world. Rabbi Efraim Rosen draws on fifty years of learning Chovos HaLevavos and years of chinuch experience, keeping the writing accessible enough for a Shabbos table and structured enough for an elementary or high school science curriculum.
